 Old Business:

Centennial:

  • Items for Sale: Need to keep items separate for tracking purposes (e.g., raffle tickets, ornaments, cookbooks). Individuals may write one check but it is important to track the number of each item bought.
  • Raffle: Pastoral Council will be in charge of and coordinate this in its entirety. Alvin Huftles will reframe the original artwork so it can be displayed in church. Alvin will also be asked if he has an easel for display purposes. The original artwork will be auctioned off at the Centennial event. A reproduction will be part of the Raffle. Alvin was provided an ornament as a small token of gratitude for his generosity. Raffle tickets will be sold the day of the Centennial event. A PA system will be secured for the event.
  • Invitations: Sent out 70+ invitations. At least 300 individuals have RSVP’d thus far.
  • Cookbook: Have arrived and are being sold. Originally ordered 300 and received 339 due to shipping costs for the company. Some will be added to the raffle.
  • Centennial Committee Update by Tom Giessel: Centennial Meeting is set for 10/16/2012. Matt will email any additional information Pastoral Council needs to know. Liturgy Committee has duties at mass covered. Access Sunday morning to the Community Center. Decorating Committee will be there by 10am. Discussed possibly having Pastoral Council members at the Church on Sunday between 10am and 10:45 am to let people know mass is at 3pm with meal to follow. Signs will also be posted on the doors. Centennial books are done. Church will present books to Fort Larned, Santa Fe Trail Center, and Larned Library on October 25th at Jordaan Memorial Library.

 New Business:

Centennial Meal: Need trays to help people carry food to table. K of C might have some. National Honor Society of LHS will help assist with meal carrying. There will be a couple serving as host and hostess of the meal. We can utilize the entryway of the Community Center for extra table and chairs if needed. Caterer was told that there would be at least 350 minimum present.

Next Pastoral Council Meeting is set for November 15, 2012.

The meeting adjourned at 7:30 pm after the Our Father.
